A dental implant is an artificial titanium root (screw) integrated into the jaw bone, called the maxilla, to support dentures to replace missing teeth.
Titanium is the metal most biologically compatible with the human body. It is also commonly used in all types of bone surgeries (particularly orthopedics).
The implant will integrate perfectly with the jaw because its material is compatible with its tissues. However, good oral hygiene is essential after installation for good healing. This solution is much more durable since dental implants stay in place longer than traditional dentures. It is also more aesthetic and gives the impression of natural teeth.

MANY OPTIONS TO DISCUSS
Place a single implant. An abutment and crown are placed on the implant. The main advantage over a bridge that rests on adjacent teeth is that no other teeth need to be trimmed.
Replace several missing teeth. An abutment is placed on each implant. A bridge is then placed on the pillars.
In the case of a complete removable dentures, implants can provide more stability.
If a removable denture is not desired, it is possible to place implants onto which a fixed complete denture is screwed.

A dental implant is a small titanium screw that allows you to replace a single tooth, a group of teeth, or even all teeth. This is a fixed dental denture.
Dental implants are intended to permanently replace natural teeth. Most implants have a lifespan of 10 to 15 years, but in practice, we see that the duration can be longer.
Rehabilitation with fixed implants is more comfortable than wearing a removable denture.
Unlike traditional bridges, implants do not damage adjacent teeth. Moreover, implants provide additional support instead of resting on the remaining teeth.
If a patient has already been fitted with a removable denture, implants will make that denture more stable.
